Now werever you are in the U.S. you will have internet access with your phone threw edge or 3G. You should make sure your phone is compatible with Skype mobile first (check here).

Now that you have your plan with Skype and unlimited internet on your phone you can call unlimited for less then $45 bucks a month. Even that you can connect your laptop to your cell phone and get internet threw that. You might need a program like Joiku to make your phone a wifi spot. ( i’m sure there are free ones out there)
