N97 processor only 434 MHz?!

Another bad move from Nokia, putting an ARM 11 single core cpu is not really powerful compared to the Samsung’s 800 MHz processor which even has a dedicated graphics accelerator chip inside it. Will this mean a certain lose against the Omnia HD.

Nokia needs to do something about that, or else it might be a really cold summer for Nokia.

Hey can this topic, be debated!!! I agree in what you say, I decided to put myself on hold, to get either N97 or Omnia HD! this processor thing is making me doubt, which one do i get?

    Hey and welcome to future-review.
It all comes down to what you want to use your phone for. If you are a heavy texter then the N97 is for you, the keyboard works really well once you get used to it. The only problem that I see when comparing these two phones is the price. The Omnia HD is cheaper at 499 euros ($700) were the N97 will be a little more (both unlocked version). The N97 doesnt have a graphics accelerator and doesnt have as nice as a camera as the Omnia HD does. There are other features that I think make the Omnia HD worth more then the N97, but if you come back later today or tomorrow I am actually getting some hands on time with the N97 today. I will post my review and tell you if it's worth it or not.

Nokia N97 has ram of 128 MB and the cpu is ARM 11 434 MHz processor, where as Omnia HD has ram of 256 MB and cpu of ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz + 3D Graphics HW Accelerator. Plus Omnia comes with a 8 MP camera where as N97 of 5 MP . Which one do you think is a better one? Here are specs of both the smartphones.

Can you even compare these two phones? :O I mean I think the winner is samsung, at least form the specs. And my dad's got an Omnia HD and I can tell you the phone is awesome, it's totally amazing, hope samsung's going to keep up the good work

Yeah the phone is awesome :)
Best device ever. Samsung only needs to roll out the updates pronto for fixing the ARM codec while recording. It's only available in Italy for the moment :(
